Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Cookies can be served warm or as ice cream sandwiches. Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
