  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter For cooking the quesadilla
  • 60 grams grated mature cheddar cheese For a rich flavor
  • 30 grams cooked bacon, crumbled Provides a smoky taste
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing Adds creaminess and tang
  • 60 grams shredded iceberg lettuce For freshness
  • 55 grams diced ripe tomatoes For added taste and color

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat unsalted butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted and foaming subsides.
  2. Place the flour tortilla in the skillet, ensuring it lies flat.
  3. Evenly distribute grated cheddar cheese over one half of the tortilla.
  4. Scatter crumbled bacon on top of the cheese.
  5. Drizzle ranch dressing over the cheese and bacon.
  6. Optionally cover with a second tortilla for thickness.
Cooking
  1. Press down gently on the tortilla and cook until the bottom is golden brown and cheese starts to melt, about 2.5 minutes.
  2. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook the other side for another 2.5 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Let the quesadilla rest on a cutting board for 1 minute before slicing into wedges.
  2. Arrange wedges on a serving plate and top with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. Serve with additional ranch dressing on the side.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and maintain medium heat to avoid burning the tortilla. Feel free to customize the fillings based on your preferences.
