  • 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 none egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup favorite chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Scoop dough into 1 1/2 tbsp portions and place on baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
  3. Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. To freeze, place cooled cookies in a freezer-safe bag for up to 3 months.
