Preparation
- Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave on low power. Stir every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Pour the melted chocolate into disposable cups, tilting and swirling to coat the inside.
- Allow the chocolate to set. You can refrigerate it for quicker solidification.
- For a stronger cup, repeat the melting and pouring process after the initial layer has set.
- Carefully remove the cups once the final layer has set, peeling them away gently.
Filling and Decorating
- Pour a bit more melted chocolate into the cups and insert candy canes for added flavor and appearance.
- Mix in 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder into each cup.
- Top with mini marshmallows and drizzle melted chocolate over them to secure.
- Decorate the cups with melted chocolate and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Serving
- Serve Chocolate Hot Cups warm with hot milk poured inside, stirring to combine for a delicious drink.
Notes
Store leftover cups in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. They can also be frozen, but thaw slowly in the fridge before using.
