Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1 cup Butter Unsalted
  • 12 oz Chocolate Chips Dark or milk chocolate as preferred
  • 1 box Saltine Crackers Approximately 40 crackers

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a 9 by 13-inch pan with aluminum foil.
  3. Place one layer of saltines in the pan and set aside.
Cooking
  1. Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil and cook for 3 minutes while stirring.
  2. Pour the toffee mixture over the crackers and bake in the oven for 7 minutes.
  3. Remove pan from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate over the hot cracker base.
  4. Spread the melting chocolate like icing and add any desired toppings.
  5. Refrigerate to cool, then break into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

Serve on a festive plate or in gift boxes. Can be stored for two weeks at room temperature and can be frozen for longer preservation.
