Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Bananas should have brown spots for best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
Cinnamon Swirl Mixture
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  6. Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
Cinnamon Swirl Assembly
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together.
  2. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  3. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture on top.
  4. Pour the remaining batter on top and then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon mixture.
  5. Use a knife to swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter slightly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Can add nuts, chocolate chips or fruit for variations. Store properly to maintain freshness.
