Ingredients
  

For the Beef Base
  • 1 pound beef stew meat Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 small onion Finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic Minced
For the Sauce
  • 1 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste Salt Adjust as needed
  • to taste Black pepper Adjust as needed
For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces penne pasta Or pasta of choice
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Fresh parsley Chopped, optional for garnish

Method
 

Preparation of Ingredients
  1. Place the beef stew meat, diced onion, and minced garlic into the slow cooker.
Sauce Mixture
  1. In a separate mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, heavy cream, dried basil, and dried oregano. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the slow cooker.
Cooking Process
  1. Secure the lid of the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
Pasta Preparation
  1. About 30 minutes before serving, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Combining Pasta and Cheese
  1. Add the cooked pasta to the slow cooker along with the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Stir thoroughly to combine.
Final Cooking Stage
  1. Allow to cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
Serving
  1. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

Use quality beef for better flavor. Don’t rush the cooking process. Customize with different pasta or add vegetables for nutrition.
