Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

Ingredients
  

For the Meat Sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or Italian sausage.
  • 1 can (24 oz) pasta sauce Use traditional marinara or vary it with Alfredo or pesto.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning Add more Italian herbs to taste.
For the Lasagna Layers
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli Can use fresh ravioli, reducing cooking time.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to mix with other cheeses like provolone or gouda.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Sprinkle on top before serving for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in pasta sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Layering and Cooking
  1. In a greased slow cooker, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce.
  2. Layer half of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  3. Top with half of the remaining meat sauce and half of each cheese.
  4. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until heated through and cheese is melted.

Notes

Serve warm with a side salad or garlic bread. Can store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
