Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Frosting
  • to taste pink frosting For topping
  • to taste sprinkles Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  2. Let cool completely.
  3. Frost with pink frosting and add sprinkles if desired.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
