Ingredients
  

For the Quiche Filling
  • 5 pieces eggs
  • 1 cup half and half Can be substituted with whole milk for less richness
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked diced ham Can use leftover ham
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese Other cheeses may be substituted
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
For the Crust
  • 1 9-inch pie crust store-bought or homemade Do not use deep dish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, half and half, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Stir in the ham, cheese, and onions to the egg mixture.
  4. Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.
Baking
  1. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the edges are browned and the eggs are set.
  2. Allow the quiche to set for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with a light salad or fresh fruit. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
