Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- If using frozen spinach, thaw it completely and squeeze out excess moisture.
- If using fresh broccoli, blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes then transfer to ice water and drain thoroughly.
Assembly
- Spread the cooked chicken evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Distribute spinach or broccoli over the chicken layer, sprinkling minced garlic on top.
- Scatter chopped bacon evenly throughout the casserole.
Creamy Mixture
- In a medium bowl, mix ranch dressing with half of both cheeses.
- Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the casserole.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with remaining cheeses.
- Return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
- Allow casserole to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve hot with a side salad or steamed vegetables. Can garnish with paprika or fresh herbs.
