Dough Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (thick, full-fat or 2%)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or half whole wheat for added fiber)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg for egg wash
Toppings
  • toppings of choice: everything seasoning, sesame seeds, cinnamon sugar, or shredded cheese

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt until combined. Add Greek yogurt and stir until a dough forms. Adjust texture with more flour or yogurt if needed.
  3. On a floured surface, divide dough into 4 parts. Roll each into a 6-inch rope and join ends to form a ring.
  4. Place on tray, brush tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with your chosen toppings.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and puffed. Let cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store cooled bagels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw at room temperature or toast from frozen.
