Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, sugar, and salt.
  3. Cut the bread slices into cubes and add them to the egg mixture, stirring to coat.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and set.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with maple syrup, a dusting of confectioners sugar, or raspberry lemon compote.

Notes

For portion control, serve 1 cup portions with a protein side like Greek yogurt. This makes a balanced meal with more protein and less sugar. The bake is also meal prep friendly, refrigerate overnight before baking.
