Preparation
- Pour 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) of Coca-Cola into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, about 3 to 4 hours.
Blend
- In a blender, combine the juice of the 2 limes, bourbon (if using), and the remaining 16 ounces of Coca-Cola.
- Add the frozen Coca-Cola ice cubes and the frozen cherries into the blender.
- Blend everything together for about 1 to 2 minutes until smooth and icy.
Serve and Garnish
- Pour the slushie into chilled glasses.
- Garnish each glass with a lime wheel and a maraschino cherry, if desired.
Notes
Serve the slushies immediately for the best texture. Use fun drink coasters, straws, or umbrellas to make them festive. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a few hours.
