Ingredients
  

For the Slushie
  • 28 oz Coca-Cola, chilled, divided 12 oz for ice cubes and 16 oz for blending
  • 2 pieces limes, juiced Juice of 2 limes
  • 1/2 cup bourbon, dark rum, or Campari (optional) For an adult version
  • 2 cups frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 piece lime, sliced into thin wheels For garnish
  • as needed Maraschino cherries (optional) For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pour 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) of Coca-Cola into ice cube trays and freeze until solid, about 3 to 4 hours.
Blend
  1. In a blender, combine the juice of the 2 limes, bourbon (if using), and the remaining 16 ounces of Coca-Cola.
  2. Add the frozen Coca-Cola ice cubes and the frozen cherries into the blender.
  3. Blend everything together for about 1 to 2 minutes until smooth and icy.
Serve and Garnish
  1. Pour the slushie into chilled glasses.
  2. Garnish each glass with a lime wheel and a maraschino cherry, if desired.

Notes

Serve the slushies immediately for the best texture. Use fun drink coasters, straws, or umbrellas to make them festive. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a few hours.
