Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and whisk until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about 4-5 days. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
