Ingredients

For the Oreo Balls
  • 1 package Red Velvet Oreos (22 cookies)
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 7 oz green candy melts
  • to taste Red heart sprinkles For decoration

Method

Preparation
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the Red Velvet Oreos until fine crumbs form. Add in the cream cheese and mix again until soft dough forms.
  3. Using a 1-tablespoon measuring spoon, scoop out the dough, roll it between the palms of your hands, then place it on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat this process until you finish.
  4. Chill the baking sheet with the Oreo balls in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Dipping
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy melts in 30-second increments, mixing each time. If the candy melts aren’t thin enough to dip, add 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil or any unflavored oil and mix well.
  2. Using a chocolate dipping fork, dip each truffle ball into the green candy melts, coating it evenly. Then place them back on the baking sheet. Repeat this with the rest of the truffles.
  3. Place any leftover green candy melts in a piping bag and drizzle on top of the truffles. Before the candy melts harden, add a red heart sprinkle on top to create the iconic Grinch heart.
  4. Allow those to set in the fridge for a few minutes before you enjoy!

Notes

For best results, store in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for about a week or in the fridge for up to two weeks. Freezing is also an option for longer storage.
