Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract for dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup jam of your choice
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tsp milk add to desired consistency
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for glaze

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In your mixer bowl, beat 1 cup of softened butter, 2/3 cup granulated sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla extract together for 3 minutes.
  3. Add in 2 cups of all-purpose flour and mix together until just combined.
  4. Use a 1 Tbsp size cookie scoop to scoop the dough. Roll each scoop into a ball and place on your cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  5. Use your thumb or a small spoon to press down and make an indentation in the center of each ball.
  6. Fill each indentation with jam.
Baking
  1. Bake at 350°F for 14-16 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.
  2. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the cookie sheets for 3 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
Glazing
  1. For the glaze, whisk together 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2-3 tsp milk in a small mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Only add enough milk until it whisks together but is the right consistency for drizzling.
  3. Drizzle over the cookies before serving.
