Main Ingredients
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed) Keep cold but soft enough to unroll.
  • 4 oz Brie cheese (rind removed and cut into cubes) Remove rind for a smoother bite.
  • 0.5 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought) Use approximately 1/2 teaspoon per bite.
  • 1 large egg (beaten, for egg wash) Gives pastry a golden color.
  • 1 pinch salt and fresh ground pepper Enhances flavors.
Garnish
  • to taste fresh thyme leaves or chopped pistachios Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Thaw the puff pastry, keeping it cold but soft enough to unroll.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare the mini muffin tin.
  3. Cut the thawed pastry into 2-inch circles using a round cutter.
  4. Press circles into each well of the muffin tin to form small cups.
  5. Add a cube of Brie and approximately ½ teaspoon of cranberry sauce into each cup.
  6. Brush the edges with beaten egg wash.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  2. Let cool for 2 minutes before removing from the tin.
Serving
  1. Garnish with thyme leaves or chopped pistachios and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, keep the puff pastry cold while working and avoid overfilling the cups. You can freeze assembled bites before egg washing for later baking.
