Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, cooked chicken or beef, green onion, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  3. Cut a thin slice off the top of the French bread loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving about ½ inch of crust intact.
Baking
  1. Spoon the dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread, place the reserved top slice back on, and wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil.
  2. Place the wrapped bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, unwrap the foil, and serve immediately with bread cubes, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

Serve this dip hot for the best texture. It can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. Reheat when ready to serve. This dip pairs well with various dippers and is perfect for parties.
