  • 4 pounds Pork shoulder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite brand
  • 6 buns Buns (for serving)
  • 2 cups Coleslaw (for serving) Fresh coleslaw recommended

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Season the pork shoulder with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Place the seasoned pork in a roasting pan and cover it tightly with aluminum foil.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 5 to 9 hours, depending on the size of the pork shoulder, or until it is fork-tender.
  2. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
  3. Shred the pork using two forks.
  4. Mix in your favorite BBQ sauce.
Serving
  1. Layer the pulled pork on buns and top with coleslaw.

Notes

Leftover pulled pork can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze in individual portions for up to 3 months.
