Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, cake flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, sugar, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Place the dough on a floured surface and roll it out into a large rectangle.
- Brush the rolled dough with melted butter, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the top.
- Starting from one side, gently roll the dough into a tight log.
- Cut the log into individual rolls, about 1-2 inches thick, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel and let the rolls rise for about 30 minutes.
- Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
- While the rolls are baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until creamy, then mix in powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for a few minutes, then frost with cream cheese frosting.
