  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Sifted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Any variety you prefer
  • 1/2 cup caramel candies Chopped
  • to taste sea salt For sprinkling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and chopped caramel candies.
Baking
  1. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  3. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt while warm.
  4. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months. When ready to enjoy, thaw at room temperature or heat in the microwave for a few seconds.
