  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup ketchup Use no-sugar-added variety for a healthier option.
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free version.
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice Can use juice from canned pineapple.
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken bullion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk all ingredients together.
  2. Bring to a light boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and let simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Let cool for 15 minutes, then drizzle over your meat.

Notes

Store in an airtight glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays for up to 3 months. Label jars with the date for tracking freshness. Ideal for meal prep.
