Method
Preparation
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef, cooking until thoroughly browned. Break apart the beef as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add taco seasoning to the beef, following the package instructions to add water, then let it simmer to blend flavors.
- While the beef is simmering, warm the nacho cheese sauce according to package directions or prepare your own.
Assembly
- Place a large flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. In the center, layer seasoned beef, shredded cheddar cheese, and warm nacho cheese sauce.
- Top with sour cream, diced tomatoes, onions, and sliced jalapeños.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll it tightly from the bottom up, ensuring the filling is fully enclosed.
Cooking
- For grilled burritos, place them seam-side down in a skillet over medium heat and grill each side for 2-3 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- For baked burritos, preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F), place the burritos on a baking tray, and bake for 10-15 minutes until heated through.
Serving
- Slice each burrito in half and serve with additional nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, or salsa.
Notes
Store leftovers wrapped in foil or in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze wrapped burritos and thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
