- In a large pot, brown the ground meat over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the meat and vegetables.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Keep stirring until the cheeses melt.
- Serve hot, garnished with the remaining mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil, if desired.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm with some crusty bread for dipping. Can be customized for dietary preferences: meatless, spicy, different cheeses, or gluten-free options available.
