Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground meat (beef, sausage, or chicken)
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, brown the ground meat over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  2. Stir in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the meat and vegetables.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Keep stirring until the cheeses melt.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with the remaining mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil, if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm with some crusty bread for dipping. Can be customized for dietary preferences: meatless, spicy, different cheeses, or gluten-free options available.
