  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly) Use tender cuts like sirloin or flank steak.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh is preferred for crunch.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low sodium is an option.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Used for marinating beef.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For frying the beef.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Adds aromatic flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Adjust based on preference.
  • Cooked rice (for serving) White, brown, or jasmine rice pairs well.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, take the sliced beef and mix it with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.
  2. Chop the broccoli and mince the garlic ahead of time.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the marinated beef to the hot oil and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic and broccoli to the pan and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. Season the stir-fry with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve the beef and broccoli hot over cooked rice.
  2. Optional: Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze in a container for 2-3 months.
