Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the ripe bananas, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the walnuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- While the cookies are baking, prepare the cream cheese glaze by beating together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
- Once the cookies have cooled, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the top.
